REBOOT SUMMER PROGRAM DETAILS 

The Summer Reboot Program will run for 4 straight weeks and coincides with two, 30-minute group strength training workouts each week. You'll also meet with me one-on-one to discuss your nutrition, fitness, and health goals, all while receiving support along the way.

A Virtual Nutrition & Exercise Experience.

WHAT IS A REBOOT?  Over the course of my practice, I've learned that most people find lifestyle change challenging. Some struggle with getting started, while others find it difficult to consistently stick to new behaviors. 

During the summer, especially after the pandemic, festivities, vacations, and pool days can make it hard to stick to even the best of healthy intentions. Sometimes we just need a fresh start -- a "reboot" to get going and motivated again.

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM DESIGNED FOR?

 Anyone looking for a push and a dose of extra motivation to get back to healthy habits!

​Or if you're new to working out or just not as confident as you'd like to be in the gym, this program will teach you the basics and build-up your workout confidence.  

Why Not Just Focus On Nutrition? 

It might sound ridiculous, but when I first started working out in the 90s, I was completely intimidated by lifting weights. 
  • What exercises were best? 
  • What muscle groups did each exercise work? 
  • How should I put a workout together - one muscle group or total body? 
  • How many set & reps should I do? 
  • Should I do weights or cardio on separate days or together? Which should come first? 
  • What was good & bad form?  How would I know if I was doing an exercise wrong?

I was completely overwhelmed, so naturally I avoided weights like the plague!  I ONLY did cardio -  it was safe. I knew how to turn on the machine and go. 

However, I never looked the way I wanted. While I was never overweight and worked out daily, I could never figure out why I wasn't leaner; I figured I needed to do more cardio.

It wasn't until I started consistently weight training that I saw my body transform from soft, to lean & tone.
Resistance training was the missing piece. 

Resistance training not only transformed my body, but it sent my confidence skyrocketing. I didn't just feel strong, I was strong; mentally & physically. I was so proud of what my body could do. 

I was
 also incredibly lucky to have an excellent teacher guide me through the basics of lifting weights.

My goal is to be the same type of teacher for you. I hope you will use this program to guide you through the basics and boost your strength & confidence.

NUTRITION -  FAQs

1. What's included in a one-on-one nutrition consultation?
​You will receive an initial 45-minute consultation to discuss your specific health & fitness goals.  Once the program is coming to a close, we'll schedule the final 45-minute consultation to review and answer any remaining questions. Once you sign-up, we will schedule your first online session together. 


2. When do I get my meal plans?
You will receive your weekly meal plan the Thursday before the new week starts. All recipes, grocery lists, and other pertinent information will be included in the email. 

3. Do meal plans accommodate food allergies and other food preferences? 
If you have a known allergy or specific food you need or would like to avoid, please let me know during our nutrition consultation. I will make adjustments to your weekly plans for the duration of the program. 

4.  Do I have to cook every recipe on the meal plan? 
While you'll receive a new plan every week, you do not have to cook every single recipe on this plan. However, what I do suggest is making enough food for leftovers so you don't have to cook every night.  During our consultation, we'll discuss some strategies to work around eating heathy without having to prepare food every single day. 

5. I don't follow a vegan or plant based diet, can I still join this program? 
Yes, you can! While I have personally followed a plant based diet for 26 years and believe it is one of the most healthy and kind diets for myself and the planet, I do believe everyone should make their own food choices. 

What I do suggest to EVERY client is including more fruits, vegetables and other plant foods more frequently! Most Americans don't get anywhere near to the recommended 8-10 servings of fruits and vegetables they need each day for optimal health; and 97 percent of Americans don't get enough fiber!  Instead of focusing on labels, we'll focusing on eating more of the nutritious good stuff. 


6. I've heard there's a lot of health benefits to following a plant based diet and I'm curious to try it.  Would this program be a good place to try it out?  

Yes! If you are interested in following a plant based diet, this is the perfect place to test the waters. You'll have the support of a dietitian to get started and I personally guide you through any questions/concerns the entire step of the way.  

WORKOUTS -  FAQs

1. When are classes?
  • Class days will be Tuesdays &  Thursdays   
  • Class times will be:  6 am, 6:30 am, 6 pm, 6:30 pm 
  • Class size will be kept small so everyone receives ample instruction and attention. ( < 8 people per class)  
  • ALL CLASSES ARE HELD ONLINE VIA ZOOM.  

2. How do I sign up for workouts? 
  • Online sign-up emailed each week along with the meal plans. 
  • Sign up for your preferred AM or PM class time each week. 
  • All classes are offered on a first come, first serve basis. 

3. Cancellations. 
  • Life happens!  You are allowed to make up one class (max) for the entire duration of the program no questions asked. 
  • If you cancel a class within 15-minutes of its starting time, you will lose one workout for the week; unless you use your one free cancellation.
Remember, this is about building consistent habits! It's also only 4 weeks, so every workout counts!  

4. What if I don't have any equipment? 
It is highly suggested to have at least one dumbbell or kettlebell to maximize the strength benefits of the class. However, if you don't have a particular piece of equipment, let me know and I will modify the exercise for you.

5. If I can't perform an exercise, are there workout modifications available? 
Yes! All exercises can be modified to fit your individual fitness level. Don't worry if you can't do something. The goal is to adapt and figure out what you can do! If you have an injury you should speak to your doctor about what you can and can't do safely while working out. 


6. WAIVER REQUIRED (for exercise classes). 
All participants must sign a waiver before beginning workouts. I will email the form to you once you have registered for the program. Please sign and send it back to me.
